Ok, I reviewed two porn movies recently. I was amazed at the size, shape and location of tatoos. So, I have two questions. Do you are are thinking of getting one or more? Have you imagined what it will look like when you hit the age of, say 70 years ... more
I have two tattoo's on my ankle as well as a large lower back one. I thought about the future but don't seem them being a problem for me. Can't imagine my skin sagging too much on my ankle or back area and they are mostly discreet. I am proud to wear them.

Personally? I love the whole process (minus the aftercare). I love brainstorming with the artist, I love sitting with a friend (yes, I consider my tattoo artist a friend) and chatting while he works on me, I love the process of getting tattooed, I love having the beautiful artwork on my body. And while, yes, getting tattooed hurts a little, it's not the worst pain I've ever suffered. I love sharing the artwork with others. I love explaining what the piece means to me.

For example, on my back I have a memorial tattoo for my mom who died of brain cancer. It's between my shoulder blades so most of the summer I can easily show it off. I get to raise awareness of brain cancer, I get to talk about my mom, it's part of my healing process. You can't just tell anyone randomly, "oh hey, my mom died of brain cancer." BUT, if someone says, "Nice tattoo, who's it for? What does the gray ribbon mean?" I have an opening.

I have a pinup girl in a boxing ring on my left arm with some lettering. It's a special piece to me. I don't always like explaining it, because it's a serious message about fighting through and surviving sexual abuse. When I'm not really in the mood to explain that much, I say, "I've just experienced too much life for my 31 years."

I can't imagine ever getting a tattoo that doesn't have SOME meaning to me. Even if it doesn't hold a personal meaning to me, just something that I find beautiful and special to me.

I have 7...1 on my lower back 1 on each shoulder 1 in the middle of my back 1 on my hip 1 on my foot and 1 on my ankle...so they are all quite ease to hide. I've figured that when i get old really no one is going to be seeing them unless I'm in a nursing home, and then I will just be giving all the nurses and aides something to talk about haha

I did consider about ... more
