A bunch of us were talking about our Valentines Day plans with our spouses or boyfriends, at work. One of our recently divorced co-workers came up and everyone went SILENT. Afterwords everyone said "we didn't want to hurt her feelings or rub it in".

Are you that way too? Would you shut down romance talk if someone you KNOW is having a rough patch came up?

I try to keep my sex life and romance life to myself. What's going on in my relationships is between myself, my partner, and my therapist.

If for some reason, that my love life is being discussed, I'll keep it as vague as possible and I won't mention any problems that I'm having. If there's someone else in the room that's having a hard time, I won't rub it in their face. It doesn't seem pleasant and it can make them feel uncomfortable. There are always other topics to discuss

Well, I have ONE friend that when we talk, we talk about sex a lot. She's a really good friend and I am not sexually attracted to her. We talk about what we do in bed, and what we like, and share tips ect.

Other than that, I don't like to talk to people about my private life.

I keep personal stuff to my self. other then that I dont hold back just because they are single. But I dont rub it in their face either.

not really, i tend to talk about my relationship openly w/ my friends (well, i keep some things to myself). but i don't celebrate valentines day, even though i have a bf, i've always hated the holiday.
