I actually don't want mine. Knowing my luck, it'll be something highly embarrassing, and that would be a waste of those fifteen minutes.

I was videoed by a local news channel and interviewed while standing in line for a November presidential vote.

I won the female Pro-Am Enduro championship and was in the paper...Won a scratch ticket lottery for $10,000 and was on the paper, tv and the lotto site. I opened the business and was featured in the newspaper for innovative new business and such....Had to give a speech to the BBC (a local business community) about signage and was found on every paper, tv station, etc. for a week!! I hate the publicity my job and hobbies bring!!

OH!! I also was chosen as a representative for adding a stoplight at the corner where I was in a near fatal accident. The reason for the hearing was that another person had died at the location and it was deemed a dangerous intersection.

Lol. Interesting. I do not think I have ever had the 15 minutes unless singing on TV or at the senior's building or church counted. Darn I hope that wasn't my only 15 minutes of fame! Lol. I'd have chosen to do something else. Lol.

Wait a minute. When I was in school, I dyed my hair pink (not all of it, it was more like pink highlights) and got in serious shit for it. They wouldn't allow me back to school for months unless I changed it. My mom wanted me to stand up and not back down, so she sent me to school every morning & they sent me back home everyday. Eventually she put me in the newspaper for it, and called the TV stations.

They let me back in school. Hahahaha! Unfortunately, they never actually changed the dress code because the kids go to the same school & they aren't allowed to have haircolor that isn't natural. But they did become a tad more lenient with it.

Maybe that was my 15 minute fame thing. Hmmm... That wouldn't be too bad.

When I was little I was in the local paper several times for filler stories such as "Winter Weather, Make Sure To Bundle Your Kids". By the time I got to High School I was given awards for drill team, grades, and essays. In fact when I was 18 I wrote an essay that was given to the city council which helped pass the curfew we have now. I have also had some of my art put in the local museum. I'm glad the attention is over.

Hmm I used to work in the TV news industry so if mine has already happened, it was probably anchoring a program or doing an interview on there.

I kind of hope my 15 minutes is more exciting than that though...

That's the fun of the discussion you can speculate about what they will be for, not have to rely on if it happened already or not. I meant this to be more of a, "What would be most likely for your 15 minutes to be about?", because I figured none of us are dead yet!
