Those damn ASPCA commercials!

I'm a pretty sensitive person, although I do try to hide it most of the time if I get upset. During my pregnancy I got super sensitive. I would cry watching Disney movies when a sad part wasn't even on. In Tarzan I cried when "You'll be in my heart" came on. It wasn't even a sad scene! So after pregnancy I find I'm a bit more sensitive than before which is not good because I was sensitive enough before! Lol. But one thing is for certain, sad commercials have ALWAYS made me cry.

If I want a good cry I always make sure to watch an ASPCA commercial. THEY'RE SO FREAKIN' SAD! I swear as I'm watching TV and suddenly I hear "In the arms of an angel.." I flip the channel and can already feel the tears welling up in my eyes. Even worse than that commercial is this one: link

I cry like a baby. :'( Angers me to know there are hopeless animals out there being tortured and abused. You have to be one evil person to find pleasure in hurting a poor defenseless animal. I do try to donate as often as I can but those commercials really sadden me. Am I the only one here that cries when those commercials are on?

I am not a girl who cry's much.. but those commercials definitely pull those heart strings.. Sometimes around my bloody time, I will get the lump in my neck... but thats as far as it goes.

BTW... That commercial was the most sad of the ASPCA commercials I have ever seen..

When I was pregnant with my kids I cried all the time at sappy commercials, movies, books. I was very sensitive to a lot of things. My husband was so glad that my hormones went back to normal.

Don't feel bad hun I change the channel too. I'm the exact same way. I cry at everything sad. ASPCA & feed the children commercials, touching news stories, movies and just about anything in between. My family gives me hell for it but I just can't help it. I can't imagine what I'll be like when I'm pregnant...

I can't watch them, as SOON as I hear one I change the channel without even focusing on the images or what is being said. If I have to sit through one I will more than likely cry. It breaks my heart. This sounds horrible but they affect me more than the poor starving children ones. I donate here and there to the ASPCA (well did when I was working &plan to when I start again) but I won't read the sad stories or anything of that nature. I keep the keychain hanging from a zipper in my purse and I have a t-shirt.
I just can't stand it. I want to go beat the crap out of everyone that has ever hurt an animal. Ugh, makes me sick and LIVID!

Those commercials make me nearly start to cry, as well. I always leave the room or change the channel when they come on.

Oh, I know what you mean. Those ASPCA commercials make me cry every. single. time. It's gotten to the point where my husband or I has to change the channel as soon as it comes on. I try to donate to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (the largest no-kill shelter in the U.S.) on a regular basis, but I know there are so many animals that are abused or neglected that I can't help-and I'm not forgetting about the livestock in factory farming either. Makes me sad and livid.

I always cry. Every time. I also have a tendency to get all snuggly with my dogs and start promising that I will never let anyone hurt them.

I can't say that I cry during those ASPCA commercials, but when I do see them (which is slightly rare since we only have Netflix and no cable/tv) they are definitely hard to watch, and make me sad.

We support a local animal shelter around here, so we're doing our part.

T_T I know what you mean, they always make my mom and I tear up a bit.
I can never understand how people could knowingly abuse an animal.

LOL! (Sorry, I do the same thing.) My middle daughter will start singing "In the Arms of an Angel" when one of our dogs looks particularly pathetic for any reason. Y'know, when you're eating dinner and they STARE at you or when you take away a bit of garbage they are chewing, or they've just had a bath and look absolutely miserable etc. She'll start singing this song and the whole family will burst out laughing.

When I was pregnant, Mr. Rogers used to make me cry, "He .. sob.... thinks I'm special!" Even AT&T commercials would set me off.

We do support our local shelter. Got a dog there a while ago, and we like to help them out.

I am the same way as you were but I haven't had any kids yet. I couldn't imagine being more sensitive than I already am. I always cry at Tarzan during that song!!!

I can't watch those ASPCA commercials. I hate them. I'm a huge animal lover but I can't stand those commercials.

I'm the same! They always get to me, but I'm glad that they're there because most people aren't as sensitive or aware as you and I. They make me want to adopt more pets... not good! Lol

I cry every time I watch one and whenever i got to the oet store and there are adoptions going on I always leave crying cause I want to take them all home and get so upset since most shelters aren't no kill.
I can help but donate every time I purchase something from the pet store as well.
