I used to have a few piercings, eyebrow x2, nipples, tongue, and nose. Gosh how I remember the looks I would get from strangers on the street. Just curious as to what your opinions are on different piercings.
Are some better then others? More socially approved of?
Which ones are just plan "weird"?
Sexy?
Which seem the most painful? Or ARE the most painful?
How bad did your genital piercing hurt? For the females with the clitoral piercings, does it get you off more often?

I only have my ears pierced at the moment. I had my belly button pierced, but my body decided it didn't like the piercing. I have a shiny titanium barbell waiting to try repiercing it. At this point, I would consider a genital piercing. However, I don't think I'd go through with the idea; I have too many doubts.

I think dermal piercings in the collarbone area would be flattering for me, maybe a nostril piercing. I don't think I would get my nose pierced, though, because it is hard to cover up. I know of too many places that refuse to have employees with visible piercings (other than typical earlobe piercings on women). I also wouldn't do anymore holes in my ears, my ears stick out a bit much and I don't want to add anymore weight to them.

For people in general, I think piercings are a personal issue. I think it is good to consider how important it is to you to hide piercings. Also, different piercings suit different body types. Some people's bodies really aren't suited for more than one or two piercings, while other people's bodies can handle 50 or more piercings. However, like clothing and makeup, it all boils down to what you want.

Oh, and belly button hurt more than earlobe piercings for me, but it honestly wasn't that painful at the time of piercing. It was sore while healing, making it a pain to clean while fresh. While I was getting the piercing, it wasn't pain so much as me feeling that it was definitely a big needle.

Right now I have 10 piercings. Mostly in my ears including an industrial, but also my belly button and snakebites. I've also had my tongue, eyebrow and nose done.

I love piercings, I think that snakebites and tongue piercings are very sexy (even on guys!...ESPECIALLY on guys!!!) and I admit I am quite addicted to different types of body art! I plan to get either my hips pierced, or maybe another in my ear

Of all the piercings I've had, my industrial was the most painful! The tongue hurt this last time but I've had it pierced 2 times prior, so it was over scar tissue. The first time wasn't bad at all, second stung but the third did hurt but again NOTHING like the ear!!! The industrial still aches a lot, and I got it 5 months ago, but it can take well over a year to heal. My other cartilage piercing took about a year to heal fully, but it was a regular earring.

I have my lip peirced down there. Its fun to pull on, but to scared to get the actual clit peirced.

Debating on my nipples being done, but worried they will mess up. So once I get the courage I will do them

What are snakebites? I feel like I know this but my brain isn't working this morning yet. Lol

I had my nose done for awhile. I took it out. Only because everyday I would wake up and go to itch my nose on the pillow or something like that. And it would snag and rip. Really painful to do that, so decided to get raid of it.

My industrial took like, a year before I could lay on it. If you can find a neck pillow you can fold it around your ear so you can still lay on that side and not put unnecessary pressure on it.

I think that the tiny nose stud is gaining societal approval, but not much else outside of the "normal" one or two studs in the ear. The belly button piercing isn't that bad, but has no place in a professional setting.

Most of my piercings are in my ears. I have 5 holes in each lobe, both rooks, both tragus's, 3 hoops in my left cartilage, and an industrial on my right. I used to have my eyebrow pierced, but it didn't heal right. I'm thinking about getting it done again, but haven't decided yet. I have a stud in my nose and a hoop in my lip and occasionally wear a horseshoe in my septum. My tongue ring isn't that noticeable, at least I don't think it is. Nobody but my husband, me, and my gyno see my nipple rings, and not many people see my belly rings either.

The industrial hurt like hell; more than the three surface piercings I got in various places on my torso. Getting my tongue pierced didn't hurt, it was the week of swelling afterwards that hurt.

I'm all for freedom of expression, but there is a certain point that I'll look at somebody with a lot of metal in their face and go "why?" because the face is only so big and you can only have so much jewelry in it before it looks crowded. At least to me anyway.

That's a good tip! I tried sleeping on my other side but I move way too much for that to work! But a neck pillow might be the perfect idea!!! Thanks!!! Industrials are so cute, but take so long to heal!

I've given that advice out more than once and always end up with "omg I never even thought of that!!" lol. It was a random thing I thought of when I was trying to figure out how to handle the fact that I need to flip over and be on both sides while sleeping during the night.

I am a big fan of piercings. I wish I could have more that were visible to the public. I currently have my tongue, belly button, surface piercing on my cleavage, dermal on my back, and my latest baby, my christina I'm not really sure if I'm allowed to post it on the forum.. and I don't want to offend anyone either, but I love showing it off, LOL

The christina is not a clitoral piercing, but it still hurt LOL. getting the needle through hurt like hell! But after it was done I didn't feel a thing

Also I have such a love for corset piercings... I know they are temporary but I think they really look awesome.

By the way... I had to google a christina to find out what it was and it showed a picture. That is pretty cool actually. I would just be concerned that that would hurt like hell in certain circumstances.

Thanks!!! I was sooooo happy to get them. I am 23 and I've wanted them since I was probably 11? Maybe 12? My parents never let me get them and then I never had the money, but my guy's ex did it for me for free when we went to spend the day with her!

I...love them!!!! ^_^
