We had a standing fort. It was kind of like a tree house but on stilts.

I built one, it was not quite a treehouse. My dad never built one for me. When I was older, he built a playhouse for my younger brothers and sisters.

I SO wanted one when I was a kid! Never had one. We never owned property to do it. The closest I got was a gated off part of the yard that was likely a dog kennel.
