I didn't in my last place, and do here. I have roommates, and sometimes someone will be using the main TV. I only use it for video games and movies, though - we don't have cable, and my game system is too old to have an internet connection, so no Netflix. I watch Netflix on my computer sometimes, but mostly my TV only gets used when I was to play a PS2 game or when I want to be antisocial.

yes, I hung a 42 inch plasma on the wall at the foot of our bed. I watch tv before bed about 2 nights a week or so. We also use it for video games.
