Ive been obsessed with Chernobyl for years. Its so devastating but so stunning at the same time. Its just so beautiful to look at the photos that come out of there, like the abandoned ferris wheel. Id love to go on a tour there. They allow tours now!
Just watched an Anthony Bourdain show about Chernobyl last night. He was warned not to touch anything, not even a piece of leaf, and his friend's sensor still detected high level of radiation in the air at where they were standing.

I have fun memories of visiting that place as a kid. You're right that it isn't creepy, just really strange

I must be weird, because places where people died and human remains don't creep me out. I've always been of the belief that the dead can't hurt you; it's the living your have worry about. Certain types of people do creep me out.
Same here. What I did find odd, though, was in the link to the pictures of the dead people in the forest, the author wrote 'You stayed with the desire to see bones? do not worry, here the new address', that I found to be in particularly bad taste. Honestly, the smilie?

But I would like to live in the Winchester house. Not for the ghosts, but because I like architecture that's not of the norm. I'd quite happily get lost in there.

There's a creepy Place in GrassValley Ca, that used to be the health department then it closed down cause people got scared and wouldn't go to work. Before that it was a mental hospital for kids were they throw them in the dungeon(dungeon!) if they didn't respond to the treatment.A father of a patient that died there went crazy and massacured every official in the building before shooting himself. It scared the hell outta me!

Me too, it looks so awesome there!

It looks like an interesting place. My husband is part Czech, and we like to find weird things, especially if they are associated with our own personal histories.

Have a great time. I wish I could go.

I actually forgot I posted this. Now, I can enjoy the link again.

That's pretty cool! I was told that my family also has some distant Czech ancestry, but there are no real records or any people alive to talk to about it, unfortunately... So now it's just another family mystery.

Thanks! I hope you'll go one day as well. And thank you for the cool link!
