Warmer weather: Whats your first plan of attack?

Contributor: MamaDivine MamaDivine
What is your first order of "business" for the warm weather? Does anyone have a trip planned? Maybe you need to rake/tend to a garden or yard? Is there some awful chore that has to be done that you've been putting off until the warmer weather is here? Well hate to burst ya bubbles, but its here! LOL.

Spring cleaning! Definitely. I live in an apartment and I can just feel that there will be a stupid inspection soon. Gosh I hate those. I better get started now so when they finally send out the notice I'll be ready.

I'm allergic to the sun so I'll be staying in for most of the daylight hours.

I've been gradually cleaning and reorganizing things for the last month or so, though.

Warmer weather means doing some cleaning, leaving the windows open, and starting to think about the garden!

Cleaning off the porch, keeping my maple seedlings growing strong and healthy for eventual replanting down in the local forest, and trying to harvest some seeds from the lilac this year.

My husband needs to mow the lawn, I am going to set up a little pool for our son. We have already started some seeds for the vegetable garden.

Plan of attack:

1. Re-disorganize my stuff.
2. Kill the wasps.
3. Repeat as needed.

1) Sit by the window and enjoy the day
2) Sit outside and enjoy the day
3) Open the windows of my car when I have to work
4) Yell at my husband to wake up because he is sleeping on the deck and come inside and pleasure me. (Or at least come inside and sleep like a human being. Not head back, snoring, pants unbuckled, shirt all messy with drool on his chin on the deck like a hobo or something.)

It's still too early in Chicago to get to the vegetable garden. My luck I'll put my plants in or plant tender seeds and we'll get snow or frost again.

Service my motorcycle for the summer. We winterized it before we put it away last fall, but it needs an oil change and a few other things before I can really start riding it everywhere.

Need to mow the lawn and clean up the tree branches in the front yard.

I just need to wait for the snow to melt. We got about 6 inches of snow over 2 days on the 21 and 22.

o.o
...might want to be careful with number 2 on that list, certain species of wasps are more aggressive than regular bees. Maybe you can borrow or rent one of those bee keeper suits for safety?

Gardening. No question. I've already turned all the soil and planted lettuce and wildflowers. I just need to finish amending the rest of my plot so it's all ready for planting.

LMAO @ Re-disorganize. I hear ya there. No matter how organized my stuff seems to be...it always ends up messier than I started with. Either that, or I can't find ANYTHING anymore and I end up having to tear stuff apart tryin to find it lmao!
