What are your favorite spices, herbs or seasonings, etc?

I'm not going to be a stickler about the different definitions & I tried to be inclusive in the title. If I said just spices, I suspect I'd get answers for things that aren't technically spices.

So, whatever you want to list is fine, just put whatever you think of, herbs, spices, whatever! For instance, I cannot live without garlic, so that would be right up there with salt on my list.

Ohhhh garlic is a big one for me. I also tend to use oregano, basil, cilantro, cayenne, and crushed red peppers for everything.

I like Sage, Thyme, Garlic, Saffron, and freshly ground peppercorns. I use a lot of spices and herbs but those are probably my favorite. I also like to use nutmeg a lot too!

Depends on the dish usually, but I use a lot of basil, oregano, cilantro and fresh pepper. I am a big fan of Penzeys spices, and they do some awesome blends like Sandwich Sprinkle and Brady Street Cheese seasoning that we also go through a lot of.

Fresh chives, cracked black pepper, cinnamon, paprika, sea salt, garlic, cocoa powder, sesame seeds, cayenne pepper, vanilla bean, cloves and ginger. Obviously that's a pretty inclusive list, but since I could, in fact, survive without any seasonings at all, if I had to, I've narrowed my spice rack down to the dozen that I would keep for sure.

I'm surprised by the number of people who adore garlic. No vampires here, I suppose.

Difficult to answer because I always enjoy new flavors and experimentation with spices and herbs. Garlic is one of my tops but I don't like anything too spicy, just a little heat.

I love to try all different kinds of flavors, too. That's why I couldn't even attempt to list mine in the into, though the garlic & salt were no-brainers!

I also can't handle spicy heat, it burns so badly, that I can't even use black pepper like 'normal' people; I don't even buy it & have a tiny container my mom gave me, in case I have guests!
