Looking for ideas of new alcoholic drinks to enjoy while in Mexico for vacation and I'd also love to hear what you drink if you enjoy tropical vacations or what would you drink if you did vacation in the tropics.

If you have a specific drink of choice I'd love to hear it. For the past few trips to Mexico I've been hooked on drinking Dirty Monkeys, but would love to find something new to try in the tropical drink area.

I don't drink often at all unless it's for a small taste these days, so probably something creamy and with real fruit because it's hard to resist those!

Usually beer and in that area something Mexican would be good.

I pretty much always drink some sort of mixed drink on vacation, that's one of the best parts of vacation for me (since i'm young and i go with my parents) that they pay for me to try a bunch of different drinks.

See if they make the Backscratcher or Tropical Itch there. I had a few in Hawaii and loved them, they even included a backscratcher I could take home after finishing the drink.

Tropical Itch
This modern cocktail is served with a backscratcher in the glass. If you cannot get your hands on Lilikoi (passion fruit) juice, just substitute a mix of your favorites.

1oz Vodka
1oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Orange Curacao or Grand Marnier (Triple Sec will substitute)
3 - 4 oz. Passion Fruit Juice (Or get creative!)

Shake well and pour over ice. Garnish with fruit and the backscratcher!

A drink our daughter and I dreamed up...
Over a glass of ice add:
1 part Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
1 Part pineapple juice
top with gingerale and the juice of a slice of lime...

We named it the "saucy wench".

Really wishing it was hot out now....

im a budlight drinker but if i was somewhere new or on vaction i always love to try something new.i would just ask the bartender to give me some type of tropical mixed drink that seems to be the fav

Give me all the mixed fruity drunks there are!!! I.. personally would ask if they had cotton candy.. lol.. & drink a bunch of pink punk cosmos.. which is a drink TGIFridays has.. My FAVORITE drink ever! It's Skyy blue vodka mixed with a little bit of cranberry juice, with a little bit of lemon juice... poured over cotton candy.. I love it!
