Gloves, or nothing. Mittens, so far, haven't been helpful in having hand freedom to do things. I'd rather have a nice, fitting pair of gloves, or just let my hands go numb from the cold.

If I need dexterity for photography or working outside, gloves. If I'm skiing or making snowballs, mittens, since they are so much warmer. But I don't get alot of chances to ski or play in snow, so I tend to stick to gloves, since they are just a daily routine thing.

I've never tried mittens, but I like for my fingers to be free, so I don't think I would like mittens.

Gloves. They provide the dexterity I need. I haven't worn mittens in years, but I have always heard that they keep your hands warmer - which makes sense.

I usually wear gloves because it makes things like driving and opening doors easier, but mittens are way more fun and I wish I had some more cute pairs of them!

I require the fingerless gloves with the mitten part that folds over. My fingers get too cold with gloves, but I hate having to take them completely off to fiddle with my mp3 player, reapply lip balm, or blow my nose. If I had to choose between gloves and mittens though, I guess I'd go with mittens simply for the warmth. My fingers always go numb when they have to be separated. Curse my poor circulation!

Although mittens keep my hands warmer, I prefer to wear gloves, so I can use my fingers.

Glittens - they start off as gloves, with finger slots, but have a pull over part like a mitten to cover the ends of the fingers!

I hate wearing either, bothers me having so little touch sensation in my hands for some reason. I do prefer gloves though, mittens always bothered me as a kid as it's so hard to pick things up properly.
