What do your nails look like?

I bite mine, so no point in doing much with them. If I have an event to attend then I'll paint them. Every now and again I get fake ones done if I'm trying to break my biting habit.

I bit mine for a long time, and then just stopped one day. I have no idea what I did, but all of a sudden I had nails that were worth painting and making pretty. So now I shape them and paint them once a week, if I remember, lol.

At the moment I have acrylic french tips

Mostly I just let them grow out for a bit, then clip and file them and no polish. Sometimes I'll get the urge to polish them or do my own fake nails. I don't spend much money on something that takes so much upkeep.

Just broke my nail biting habit, but they are all natural.

I don'y actually bite my nails. I pick them. And I've tried everything I can think of to stop with no success.

I keep mine all natural and cut short all the time.

I prefer nice and trim nails that are rounded. Clear coat is my favorite, but I like to play with red and shades of bronze for color.

I paint my nails once or twice a week it's one of the few things I get to have for myself. I love color to and my nails are ugly bare with those white calcium marks.

I'm a polish holic!

I bite mine, i let them grow out, i paint them, i get them done, it all depends on my mood.

I cannot stand having colours on my nails because when I teach or type I get distracted as it looks like there are coloured bugs flying around.
I do like to have my nails done, and when I do they can draw elegant designs on my nails or french tips.
Usually I do my own nails, and leave them natural. But my cuticles are horribly dry no matter what treatments I use so they look horrible and rough.

I like having bright colors on my toenails. On my fingers, they end up getting chipped too fast or clashing with something. I still try if I feel like it, though.
So: shortish, neat, clear coat if I feel fancy.

At the moment natural and breaking. I usually get them done, but have not in a bit. I tried the fake nails for one night when I went out last weekend and I took them off the next day. I have these sticky nail designs that I am going to try next.

I do mine myself or my sister does them. I usually just leave them natural. But if they are painted I like black polish or crazy colors.

I let them grow out and typically paint them myself, though they've been natural for a while. If I painted them, my nails would be a disaster right now since I'm working in a kindergarten.

Mine are very thin, so I let them grow until they start to break off, and then cut them all.

I usually just bite mine down to short but sometimes I'll do them up with fake nails. I tried clawtips recently and it... no. Didn't work.

I grow mine out. I have on a few occasions had fake nails. Love them for about the first week then as they start to come off I go a bit nuts.

I have acrylics on my fingers and paint my toes all the time. It's my treat to myself once a month to get my fingers done. I love it.
03/02/2012
i need to redo mine, my paint is chipped and its time for a new color
03/02/2012
I try and legt them grow out.

I bite my nails. There are a few advantages to doing so, I guess. I don't have to worry about seriously hurting myself when I itch something; having more of the finger exposed allows me to do delicate work; and having nails that don't go beyond the nail bed makes it easier to play my guitar. However, my fingers don't really look good, and I'm sure that biting my nails isn't good for my tooth enamel!

I keep mine cut short and polish free

My nails are pretty strong. I generally let them grow out until one or more break. I'm very luck in that my nails rarely spit or crack, so unless I break one, they stay until I cut them.

all natural right now.

Mine naturally grow rounded at the tip so I just let them grow and cut them if one breaks or they get stained from food or something. I paint my own and love fun colors as well as golds, pinks and nudes or I just leave them. The pink in my nail is very pink and the tips are clearish so no need for a french manicure. I hate fake nails especially having them removed. The only time I will get my nails done at a salon is when I get married or if I'm in someone else's wedding again. I'd rather spend the 30$ on something else.

I used to not be able to grow my nails out because I played the violin. When I stopped, I realized how much fun I had been missing out on. Until recently I spent a couple of hours a week doing something fun and creative (oh god I needed a creative outlet so badly). I've done some pretty cool things and I'm proud of myself.
