Actually in a large house my bedroom is the only room that has carpet the rest is hard wood, tile and pergo in the other bedrooms.

Wood, but with a really thing old throw rug down at the foot of the bed.
We've talked a few times about replacing the throw rug with a new one but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
