I've had octopus too. I think maybe chocolate covered ants. I've had frog legs before as well.

Frog legs and cow tongue are only weird until you've eaten them--then they're great!

Escargot, caviar, jellyfish, rooster combs, and soft shelled turtle. For some reason, I can't seem to get myself to try frog legs.

You're more likely to get an upset stomach from a cheeseburger than from some octopus.

agreed cheeseburgers are greasy and full of preservatives and other chemicals... the strange food on these lists are most likely cooked in their natural forms

Froglegs... when I was a kid in a chinese restaurant buffet I didn't read the label and thought it was chicken until my mom informed me it was frog legs and then I ate more just to gross her out c:

I've had muscles in pasta and oysters on the half shell but... I don't really consider those 'weird'... and squirrel when I was super young b/c my grandmother cooked it... but again, dunno how 'weird' that would qualify as

Octopus.

We're try-anything-once kind of people. We've had alligator, rabbit, frog legs, and calamari (which some people think is strange, apparently). I could think of more if I sat and thought about it. The weirdest, though, would probably have to be "octopus salad." It's tiny whole octopus (octopi?) in a red sauce. Definitely interesting.

Muscles in pasta is a weird dish. Mussels, not so much.

Haha, I feel boring since I'm vegetarian...

The strangest fruits I remember having are durian ("stinky fruit") and lychee.

I've also had apple tree bark tea and pine needle tea; both very tasty.

*facepalm* I think dv8 was making a comment on your spelling "Mussels in pasta" as "Muscles in pasta".

As for me, I'm the kind of person that will try anything once. Haven't had the opportunity to try any other weird stuff, though. I've eaten calamari, soft shell crab, caviar, and eel.
Eel was the only one I didn't like.

Lychee's strange? It's fairly common around here, especially in fro-yo and tapioca drinks.

I live in a pretty whitebread part of the Midwest right now, and it's pretty uncommon except in certain restaurants. Even then, it's hit-or-miss. I do remember seeing it a lot more when I lived on the East coast though!

I remember eating Milkbone dog biscuits as a kid - they were all different colours and I thought they'd all be different flavours - omg it grosses me out now to think I even did that

Roast beef and buttered corn flavored gumballs (separate flavors), they were...interesting to say the least. @_@
Well either that or various kinds of cat food and treats when I was little (decided to taste them myself to try and figure out why our cats enjoyed them so much).

...or maybe the time I ate a small piece of a Pupperoni stick to win a bet a few years ago. xD

I ate a caterpillar when I was a kid. It tasted just like one of the mint skittles, which came out after I'd eaten the caterpillar so I had some pretty nasty sense-memory when I discovered a caterpillar flavored skittle.
