I think it's such a great question & I loved the answers I read. Now 3 years later, we have a bunch of new people & I think it is time to see what we can come up with. Besides those who answered this in 2010 might have some new or changed tastes.

I like white rice, tuna fish and ketchup. It's a great meal since no one else tends to eat it. I evolved some weird tastes so people wouldn't take me food.

Haha I asked this months ago and got some interesting responses. I'm curious to see some new answers.

I put ketchup and crushed red peppers on my macaroni and cheese.
My cousin eats Cheeto and peanut butter sandwiches. I've also heard of people putting maple syrup on grilled cheese sandwiches.

Nacho cheese Doritos and peanut butter is really good together! My sister loves eating mac and cheese with ketchup on it.

I don't really have any. My boyfriend, however, likes Saltine crackers with mayo and peanut butter. I tried it and it's not half bad. However, I only had it the one time.

When I am on steroid medication, my tastes change & I have a much stronger appetite. There was nothing in the house one evening, except Cheetos crunchy, which I never had tried before. I decided to try it & they were delicious, but not enough. I searched the kitchen, discovered cream cheese & tried them together, perfection! Later, I even discovered they were better with the chives & onion flavor cream cheese. When I am off the steroid & I try to eat Cheetos plain or with the 'dip' I cannot even get past one bite!

I grew up eating cream cheese & olive sandwiches & burnt toast with butter, yum! My mom likes cream cheese + caviar sandwiches or crackers, as well.

I love your discussions!

My weirdest food combo is probably ketchup and regular potato chips all crunched up together. I get that one from my dad. In fact, I get most of my weird habits from him. LOL. He knows how to make some awesome food. He can cook up all kinds of interesting combinations & somehow it always tastes good. He made fried green beans (with the batter and all) & they were delicious!

My other weird food combo is chicken and honey. I've eaten honey on my chicken nugget/strips since a small child. I don't know where that one developed, but I still eat it. I never have chicken without honey to dip it in. I don't think I have ever met anyone else who does that so it probably did come from my dad.

Pregnancy cravings? I did have those, but they weren't odd, just very odd for my tastes. I never was one for that Asian chicken stuff or pineapple chicken. At all! And when I was pregnant I had such intense cravings for it -- both times too! In fact, it's part of what caused me to realize that I might be pregnant the second time. That & my real loving mood & heartburn. Those are things I never get. Lol. I'm loving, but I got a little overboard when pregnant & never ever have heartburn except during both pregnancies. So those things & the Asian chicken cravings are how I knew I might be pregnant. Was right.

I was a frequent customer at Wendys (for their Asian chicken) during my pregnancies. Lol.

Hmm.. Can't really think of any other odd food combos I like.

Ants on a log? Those are something I like that is an odd combo, but I think plenty of people like it they just don't like celery. Lol.

Cream cheese and cheetos are one of my favorites. I especially like it best with the jalapeno cheeteos.

I'm so happy to meet a fellow convert! If I could handle anything spicy, I would definitely try your version, it sounds more 'natural' of a combo to me than mine, like a jalapeno popper!

I have seen ketchup flavored potato chips, though I have never tried them. So you are not alone on that one.

The cream cheese and caviar reminds me, a lot of 'Americanized' sushi rolls have cream cheese in them. At first I thought it would be weird, but the combination is pretty awesome. I have had one with just roe, but the fish isn't a far stretch.

Have you ever tried taramasalata? Its a Greek 'spread' I guess would be the word. It has roe in a creamy, sorta of cream cheese/mayonnaise combination that also has potato in it I believe. Like very mashed, no solid chunks. That stuff is great. It's hard to find though. I got turned onto it, then the market stopped selling it and now I am always on the look out.

Never heard of it, but I want to try it! I live in a greater metropolitan area with tons of ethnic eats, if I can't find it somewhere here, I would be shocked. I live right near a Greek enclave, so if I can't find it at a store, I can find it at all the festivals they have centering on yummy food! Thanks for the tip!

My mom got the cream cheese & caviar or olives from her maternal grandfather who was a chef on the Orient Express before coming to America. He also used to make sandwiches with what we called crispies when we were young & I loved them. He trimmed the fat from pork chops, diced it & crisped it in a pan. Oh, my, I fought my one brother over those & I hate pork chops! But I love pork fat, yum! Put a little salt on them & I just eat them straight, but you're supposed to use the bread to absorb some of the drippings & make it a meal, probably a poor cook's meal while cooking the big shot's pork chops! They are crispy outside & then they melt in your mouth, they are oh so good. They are as good as cracklings! Oh, gosh, now I'm hungry & have no food in the house. I want some bacon!

Best bacon I ever made was by coating the strips in maple syrup & baking them until they were chewy & delicious! I saw a Top Chef contestant do it with teriyaki sauce, I think, & it inspired me. (I bought some bacon that is real maple flavored & it hate it, not the same as doing it yourself. )The best maple syrup for this is the grade B amber.

Speaking of breakfast foods, in one of the old threads someone mentioned lemon juice & powder sugar on their French Toast, sounds divine!

I looked up taramasalata: a paste of fish roe, olive oil, lemon juice, and potatoes or moistened bread crumbs.

I like my green beans this way sometimes, too, but not with the ketchup.
