I have MANY favorite quotes! My current favorite is probably this one:

Whenever I find that I'm over thinking to much, I just glance at my computer. This quote is my background picture, and I can honestly say I read it more then once per day. It really helps.

I have several, but here are some of my very favorites ( in order too! lOL)

1. "Rape is the only crime in which the victim becomes the accused." -Freda Adler.

2. "Fear not for I am with you, I will never leave you nor forsake you. This is not your battle for it is God's. Fear not. There is nothing to fear."

I'll leave it at that or I could go on for a few minutes! Lol. Those are the top two though.

What great responses, I look forward to hearing more! I now have some new ones to add to my list of favorites. It's so hard to choose, isn't it? Go ahead & mention several, if you want!

@ Hentialover, I LOVE that quote, never heard it before & I could certainly benefit from keeping that in mind, thanks!

"That which we obtain too easily, we esteem too lightly"

These are the only two that are coming to mind this moment.

On a lighter note, do any of you Mr. Show fans remember that skit where Van Hammersly teaches history using the pool table? Some of those 'historical quotes' were hilarious.

I cannot say I have a favorite quote. It would greatly depend on whether it was from a live speech, movie, a book, and so on.

If I was to choose a movie, I was fond of many quotes in Meet Joe Black, with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt. One in particular I recall was, "Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors." A funny quote for me was Groucho Marx's, "I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member."

Alright let me whip out some favorites for ya. This will be fairly long:

"Evil is knowing better but doing worse"

"If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it."
— Frank Zappa

"A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting."
— The Doctor

"Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."
— Rumi (I love Rumi he was so wise)

"The grass isn't always greener on the other side, it's green where you water it."
— some rapper or something
"Make your anger so expensive that no one can afford it and make your happiness so cheap that people can almost get it free."

"Be nice to yourself. It's hard to be happy when someone's mean to you all the time"

"Silence is better than bullshit."

some Bukowski:
“We are
Born like this
Into this
Into these carefully mad wars
Into the sight of broken factory windows of emptiness
Into bars where people no longer speak to each other
Into fist fights that end as shootings and knifings
Born into this
Into hospitals which are so expensive that it’s cheaper to die
Into lawyers who charge so much it’s cheaper to plead guilty
Into a country where the jails are full and the madhouses closed
Into a place where the masses elevate fools into rich heroes”

— Charles Bukowski

"We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing."
— Charles Bukowski

and finally,

“Great art is horseshit, buy tacos.”
— Charles Bukowski

Oh thanks! I'm glad my post was appreciated! I have a bunch more nice quotes about life saved. I love quotes because I am not that eloquent and they express everything I want to say but lack in wordpower. I'm not an alcoholic, but I love this AA quote and I think it applies to almost everyone

Oh Wahine... clearly you don't understand the complexity and philosophical meaning of "just Hey!" It's meaningful and poetic. I think a lot of people can relate to the succinct mantra of "just Hey!" and that's what makes it extremely beautiful. It's like the defining quote of our generation..... 2deep4u obviously
