What kind(s) of bicycle(s) do you own?

Contributor: spiced spiced
It FINALLY got warm and sunny here this week and I went for a spin on my road bike for the first time since last Fall, which was awesome! Although, the hills seem to have gotten bigger since the last time I rode.

I even pedaled over to the store on my utility bike and made it home before it started raining again today. This evening, I did a little tune-up work on my mountain bike...

It got me thinking...how many other Edenites are into bicycles? Do you have a bicycle? More than one? What kind(s)?

(Just to be clear, I'm talking about YOU, not your kids).

While i answered "road bike" i happen to own and mostly ride my kind of pos sears town bike from the 80's. It's all metal and super heavy so going up hill is really a chore compared to riding my neighbors $800 trek road bike with a carbon fiber body that glides effortlessly over hill -- oh let me mention she bought it off a crackhead for 20 bucks and i will forever be jealous of that. I also own a shwinn beach cruiser that i havent used in years and has two flat tires at the moment.
I hope to eventually sell my current bike and get a road/moutian bike hybrid or nice road bike.

I ride a mountain bike. It's perfect for me. I love taking it flying over curbs and out on country roads! I'd love to learn more about bikes.

I use to have two one had multi speeds and the other was a regular one. I got rid of both a few months ago because they were never ridden.

I have an old giant. I used to work at a bike shop so I love bikes and they last a long time since I do all the work. Been saving for a road bike.

I have two mountain bikes that both need some repairs before I can ride them. We have a lovely bike trail here that crosses state lines and I love riding it.

I just gave up my first & only bike I've ever had. I got it when I turned 40. I've just not learned how to ride well or how to even use the gears. so I donated it to a women's center w/ the request that it's given to someone who really needs the transportation.

I have a classic 1984 vintage Guerciotti racing bike - I suppose in your parlance that's a 'road bike'. I've done a few thousand miles on it - but don't ride it much anymore.

Guerciotti makes some SWEET bikes! Yeah, I'm a philistine — if it's got skinny tires, I call it a roadie.

I have a lowly Trek, which is about all my slow-ass riding deserves. I did put in close to 1000 miles on it last year, but I'm off to a SLOW start this year.

I don't think I could live without a bicycle, or even with fewer bikes than I currently have. I'd love to get a folding bike so I could take it to/from NYC on the train during rush hours (not that I go at rush hour much), and a touring bike for when I finally have the time/energy to do some multi-day trips.

I love road biking, mountain biking, "utility biking" (trips to the store, etc) and city biking. So much more pleasant than driving.

probably should have gotten something more appropiate for the city though.

We have 2 mountain bikes, but they've sat unused in the shed for years.
