What's Your Usual Exercise Routine?

Contributor: Septimus Septimus
I tend to walk a few miles a day on my treadmill, but I'm looking to spice things up a bit. In order to do so, I thought I'd ask you guys some questions about your exercise routines, like:
What's your typical exercise routine?
What new things are you doing when you exercise?
What exercises have you hated? and...
What exercises have worked best for you?

I bought a bike a few months ago and I love it! It's fun to ride around and see different parts of town

I WISH we had a stationary bike. That is probably my FAVORITE piece of work out equipment. I can set up with my Kindle or a book or a TV show and just go for hours.

But since we don't have that, I have other methods. Normally, I try to do crunches, jumping jacks (great for the buns), squats, and lately I am trying to incorporate some weights into that. My arms are losing a lot of tone to them and I don't want to be flabby.

Also, I recently got Zumba CORE for the Wii, which I am loving. I've had it for two weeks now and I'm trying to keep up with doing it 3-4 times a week.

Depends on the season. Since it's cold, I switch between hiking and weight lifting. In the summer I tend to substitute in bike riding

Depends on the day. If I'm at home, I'll do a circuit training DVD, usually followed by yoga. If I'm at the gym, I'll do 30-45 minutes of cardio followed by strength training. If it's more of a rest day, I may just do some yoga.

My mother and I just joined a gym and we've been taking water aerobics and yoga classes. Thanks for all of the ideas, I'm totally switching up my workout now, don't want to get stuck in a rut!

Somedays I walk on the treadmill and lift dumbells. I'll walk like 10-15 minutes and then stop and go use my dumbells for a while. Then I get back on the treadmill again for 10 minutes, do weights, go back and forth until I'm too tired.

Other days I do a workout dvd in my bedroom.

Either way, loud fast music is extremely helpful even though it's not my favorite.
