What would you rather drive?

Hybrids are a neat idea, but the batteries are too expensive to make it all that cost effective to replace when they do go.

We have a friend that makes his own diesel, so getting a diesel would be very economical for us. But we're looking into the conversions for CNG and propane to see which would be more beneficial/cost effective in the long run.

At this point any car period I don't have one. Also with gas prices rising I don't know if I want one.

I'd like either a diesel or a hybrid car.
