Here's the deal...I rarely get my hair cut, I usually just let it grow. But, when it gets straggly, I sometimes just cut the bottom off of my ever-present ponytail. I had it cut once at a salon about 7 years ago, but that was only once. Before that, while in college & high school, I got it cut at the barber shop - all I wanted was a straight across trim for long straight hair, so easier & faster to go there, not to mention cheaper!

my friend is a stylist, so she comes over and cuts everyone's hair in my house, lol...

I always go to the salon. The only time I cut my own hair was when I had bangs and they needed a quick trim.

I like going to a salon to get it done, but I've been growing it out lately so have been just trimming it myself.

I go to a salon to the same stylist who has been cutting my hair for years. I don't get my hair cut very often and I find that it's worth paying for a good stylist because the cut grows out a lot better.

I cant remember the last time i've gone to a salon. A good friend of mine is a stylist, so i used to go to them for my hair, although i've been too broke in the last few years to be able to have them do it. I've taken up cutting my own hair since but only when i notice i need to trim my split ends (like now). I'm trying to let it grow and hopefully can have a friend cute/style it for me when she comes to visit in october, but thats also kind of up in the air.

I go to place that I would call one step above a barber shop - they probably call it a salon, but a std hair cut is just $12.

I usually only need to shave the sides, so I do it myself or let one of my family members cut it.

Supercuts! And I'm do for another. My short hair is getting wispy in the back. I don't like when it gets wispy.

Barbershops are cheaper. Beauty schools are also cheaper for dye/cuts.
The salon my sister used to work at also would let me get my hair dyed professionally for the cost of materials. Only $10. Having a hairdresser in the family is pretty cool sometimes.
I don't trust random people at places like Supercuts and Fantastic Sam's. They would always fuck up my hair when I used to go there.

Either go to my local Great Clips and have the manager cut it for me, or do it myself when I'm up for it.

I go where it is cheap, but I don't like barber shops. I find them kinda creepy and uncomfortable. I can't get my GF to cut my hair or I would have her do it. I've considered just doing it myself, because my hair is nothing special (what's left of it). I groom my own dog too.

I go to the salon about every 8 months. I pull my hair back all the time, so I just get it cut as short as possible to still be able to pull it back into a pony tail, and go back in when it gets scraggly. I also trim off my split ends on my own for a bit.

I go to the salon but also know someone who has her license to cut hair and she sometimes does it at her house. I use to go to the barber shop that my Paw Paw owned when he was alive cause I like Wicked Whaine just usually get the straight across trim. Plus when my Paw Paw did it, it was free and done with love
