Where do you live? (City, country, etc.)

Contributor: SimpleTeaser SimpleTeaser
I am from a fairly large city in California. A few years ago, I moved to Mississippi and now, live in the country. Where do you live?

I love our living situation now but, if I had my choice, I would live at the beach.

Technically, I live in the city, but according to my boyfriend, we live in the "suburban" area because we don't live "downtown" and rarely visit it, lol.

I'm like you, I grew up in a large city (strange city called Spokane, Wa...has a small town feel but is actually a large city) and joined the Coast Guard, lived in a small down of Alaska, Portland, California, and now that I'm out of the CG, i live in the country in Tennessee. So far my favorite place to live, right up there with Alaska, but couldnt afford to move to Alaska.

I grew up in a VERY small town and fell in love with living in the city. I don't see myself moving back unless I absolutely HAD to.

If you count a town of 9,000 as the city we're living in the "city." But about three blocks from our house is the beginning of the corn fields and country, so we're pretty much on the edge.

It's a small city but a city nonetheless. I hate it, I'd rather live somewhere more rural with lots of trees and other vegetation.

I love in the suburbs, and it's more of a town than a city.

I like the privacy and convenience of the suburb-type. I don't really like apartments (unless there were mythical Perfect Neighbours), and don't want to be so far in the country that there's no good internet and cows block the road and it's a long trip to the grocery store (I live near that place, but not quite there).

Beach girl here and I absolutely love it! Now the weather is getting to be just right for beach days or walking the boardwalk, I'm super excited!

I grow in a small township in Northeast Ohio. It was super country. My mom and dad still live there. I moved to the City of Cleveland about 4 years ago. I really dislike it. If I look out my dinning room window and reach out of it, I can touch my neighbors garage! Where I come from the closest neighbor wouldn't hear you scream. Luckily my hubby got a job somewhere near the country, so we are moving away from the city. I can't wait to move there. I love to walk around my yard barefoot in the grass and tan naked in my back yard if I want.

shoot. My bad. I clicked country but meant to click "city". Well, it's really more of a small town.

It's technically a city for the state I live in, but I'd consider it a small town.

W/we're going to live in the desert, or nearby. It will be a very small town or close to it, rural to have a greenhouse, grow plants and have critters.

The city, and despite its faults I like it here. Though I love visiting the country when I go to see my relatives, I don't know if I could live there.

Minneapolis, Minnesota and I hate it.... I'm in the dead center of the city. Before moving to minneapolis, I lived in Kissimmee Florida. I was in the suburbs there.. It was a really small county... Everyone knew everyone...

A small area of unincorporated land outside Chicago. It looks very rural, until recently some of our neighbors had chickens and things, and one of our outbuildings used to be a chicken coop. We are still zoned for farm animals and legally could get a horse, but we know nothing about horses, so it wouldn't be fair to the animal.

I would like some chickens, but we have a Malamute and My Man says his entire little mind would be taken up with, "GET the chickens!" (Malamutes are very predatory animals, he kills possums and woodchucks and raccoons and skunks regularly.)

Every year when we go to the County Fair, I ask for a few chickens. Maybe one day. But, the building that was a chicken coop is taken up with My Man's electronics and batteries and things for our wind turbine. I don't think it would be safe for chickens. But, we have other buildings, but they aren't heated.

Anyway, it's right next to two villages that are incorporated and within not too many miles of Chicago.

I live in a city, but if I go to every window in my house, there are mountains less than ten miles away.
