For a while there, WHERE IS WALDO stuff was the rage. Books, Tee Shirts, Calendars, etc. Then...quick as it came, it is GONE. Where DID "Waldo" go? A few years back, we had TWENTY FIVE or more "WALDO's" at Halloween. This year, of course, NONE.

Any other "hot for a while" characters you can think of that just kind of fizzled out and went away "overnight"??

I saw Waldo at New York Comic Con...

But I know what you mean. Some characters get really popular but only for a very short period of time. I don't exactly know why. Especially because it seems to come out of nowhere and is usually a character that's been around for a while already that suddenly spikes in popularity.

I saw plenty of Waldos on Halloween. On Saturday, there even was a Waldo pub crawl.
