Body guard would be pretty cool - all kinds of special training and good salary to keep some fool alive.
Detectives see a lot of gross shit and do a lot more paperwork than they do field work... most of the detectives I know just drive around in their vehicles following kids who are suspected of selling marijuana.
Sounds pretty boring to me.
