Would you work at Disneyland knowing...

Been there and done that I only worked there for a month cause I ended up getting really sick and it was during the summer BARF any who it really wasn't that bad and I will have a memory that will stay with me forever! They do pin trading an the cast members wear lanyards and you can trade collectors pins with them. There was a little girl no older then 3 or 4 very shy an her dad and I were talking about the lanyards that were sold in the shop I worked in. He was trying to get his daughter interested and I walked up to him and started explaining to him how it worked he was trying so hard to get his daughter to listen, I leaned in an told him we will ignore her for the moment while I finish explaining it to you and hopefully someone comes to trade with me in the midst of it. Well someone did come an trade an then the little girl picked up a lanyard that had pins already on it she got excited an interested in it. Her dad bought the lanyard which had duplicate pins so you could get to trading right away!!! The little girl picked out a Tinkerbell pin just for me she told her dad to give it to me and ask for a pin I had. I squatted down on her level an told her that daddy couldn't ask that she had to. It was so sweet she pointed out the pin she wanted an said "will you trade with me please" I let her pick her pin and she gave me an adorable Tinkerbell pin an whispered to me you have to keep it forever. We weren't suppose to take pins off our lanyards, but I never put it on there cause it would have went right away I always kept extras I put it in my pocket an to this day I still have it hanging in my room on my lanyard! It is a wonderful place to work if you can handle the industry. I miss it but it really isn't worth the drive for me since I live about an hour away. If I lived closer and could do it again I would to be honest I didn't do the fun stuff for the adults I did it for the kids and kids at heart! less
