your favorite meal to cook at home

What is your favorite meal to cook at home, either just for yourself or for family and friends?

Mine would have to be homemade chicken tacos, with mexican rice and pinto beans. All from scratch. I top the rice and beans with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and salsa. The chicken tacos bet diced onions and cilantro.

Spaghetti Ala Carbonara (spelling?) from the America's Test Kitchen cookbook. Only thing I'm always confident will turn out right. And the leftovers are delicious.

Oh, and it's spaghetti with olive-oil-fried bacon and an egg-garlic-parmesan sauce. Somewhere in there is a dry white wine reduction. And Salt and Pepper.

Spaghetti Bolegnese. Or, maybe, steak pie.

Chicken pad king. It's Thai ginger chicken. But lately I've been trying to make Indian food.

Yum, this is one of my favorites too. Salsa verde, corn, and some guacamole too I love making my own crunchy taco shells.

My husband really likes my Teryiaki(sp?) beef and Rosemary chicken. They are really simple to make which is always a big plus. Also I like to experiment with making beschamel sauce since my husband is deathly alergic to both tomatos and peppers which means no red sauce spagetti in this household.

Oh man, way too many to name just one! LOL One of the most popular things I make is a pork roast slow cooked in salsa verde all day, with garlic and lemon and lime juice. You serve it in a tortilla with cheese and sour cream... MMMMMMM! Making me hungry just thinking about it!

I thoroughly LOVE cooking either a roast chicken or lamb dinner with roast pumkin and potatoes. With green beans and then gravy on top!

I'm hungry

I also love making Butter Chicken and Beef Stroganoff.
