Knives. I hate knives. It's silly actually. I've never had anything happen to me involving sharp weapons, but I hate knives, razor blades...machetes...Th ey make me shake and cringe. And I hate having things around my neck. I refuse to let anyone touch me there.

I just remembered, I have an irrational fear of clowns! They just totally creep me out. There is absolutely nothing happy or cheerful about clowns. They are evil!

The dark. I''m horrified of the dark. Even in my own bedroom, I have to have some kind of lights, usually my wii. I begin to have a panic attack and it feels like my heart will pound totally out of my chest.

I am freakishly scared of little things that move. And I mean tiny tiny tiny. Like small bugs. Maggots scare the crap out of me.

I'm scared of the dark, have to be able to see what's on the other end of the hall/room/wherever I'm at. In my own room I'm fine, but only if the door is shut, lol. Ive also been terrified of those street grates as long as I can remember, I always feel like I'm going to fall through them, even though I know I wont. And rolls of change. That one is because of a slight oopsie when I was making change at the retail store I used to work at, wasn't paying close enough attention and when I was trying to break open a roll of nickels, I swung down on the tray divider with a finger in the way, and promptly bled all over our money, lol.

Seriously...I am with you. We went to the Gulf in AL and took the ferry...I was freaking out the whole time because I was SURE my kids were going to fall through the gap between the boat and the rail and die. Totally irrational as I was told this never happens, but I was so terrified that J held the girls the entire trip.

Crap...one other small thing Bridges over water...no, not all bridges, just the ones over water. I had a full blown panic attack going to New Orleans and the Outer Banks (when land disappeared...the the Xanax came out to play). And tunnels UNDER water...oh dear lord I just know that they will burst and we will all drown and die.

I recently had a bad fight with my husband and when he drove off, I was absolutely terrified that he would get in a wreck and die because we had had a fight.

I am totally irrationally afraid of cockroaches. Not the little brown German roaches, but the big black cockroaches. Especially the ones that fly. I grew up in South Louisiana so these cockroaches were everywhere. They are perfectly harmless, so I have no idea why I am so scared of them. I do a fair amount of gardening and can handle snakes and bugs and actually think spiders are sort of cool.

But cockroaches... ::jumps up on chair and screams like a little girl::

I have an irrational fear of mice. I had them as pets when I was a small child, so I really should not be afraid of them. I am fine seeing them in their natural environment, but last winter there was on in our garage. I saw it and I was fine with it. I was not scared at all, until it started running right toward me. I thought it was gonna run up my leg. I screamed bloody murder. I am fine with them running everywhere, except at me or near me.

I will never kill a spider on purpose. If I see them in the house I will get a tissue and take outside. However, they better not sneak up on me (regardless of their size). Again, I will scream like a little girl.

Not too long ago, I was surprised by a good sized spider in the shed; he was about eye level, up on a shelf. I screamed so loud, I must of scared the begezzus out of him. He raised up his front two legs, sorta mimicking my throwing my hands up while I screamed. LOL. My screams make me laugh.

My list:

Swarms of bugs, swarms of ants, spiders (especially the newly hatched tiny ones that dangle all over the screen door, and so hard to catch). Seeing swarms of insects make me itch, I'll be scratching like crazy as if the bugs are really all over me!

Clowns, no matter which type.

Talking mannequins - I'll never look their direction, they totally freak me out!

Driving along the edges of hilly mountain roads, my toes curl and my heartbeat starts racing.

Walking pass ledges on hikes - crossing my fingers and hoping no one will accidentally slip and fall of the cliff.

Flying cockroaches scare the hell out of me when I was a kid, I'll be flapping my arms wildly, hoping those dumb things didn't land on me!!! But that was a very long time ago in Hong Kong where it's hot and humid. Thank goodness I haven't come across any since then!

I have rational fears: snakes, heights, dill-flavored foods. But here's a taste of the irrational ones:

1] Any form of bad weather: rain starts falling and I get achy and nervous. Thunderstorms freak me out because as soon as I hear thunder, I tense up in anticipation of being struck by lightning... even when I'm in the middle of a building! When I had a roommate, she would sit in the living room with me during a storm, knowing I was freaked out. Now that I'm alone, I've stood in my kitchen and cried through a brief rain storm (I live in the South: it rains EVERY afternoon!) because I could only imagine suddenly being flooded out, lightning burning my house down, a tornado, etc. And I label this as an irrational fear because as a kid, I'd sit on the front porch and watch the lightning. I'd run around in the rain. This insane fear of any non-sunny day only cropped up in the last few years (I'm 25 now).

2] My dark house: I never liked being home alone, and now I live alone. When I'm ready for bed, I turn the lights out in my house in a certain order so that I'm never in a dark room. When I finally get to my bedroom, I simply lean out the door, turn off the last hall light, and quickly shut the door. I won't even look into the darkness down the hall. And sometimes I'll be in bed and hear the slightest noise (my AC turning on, a neighbor's dog outside) and get totally wound up thinking that someone might get in the house. I have an alarm system, but I still freak. I blame this one on my life-long overactive imagination.

I swear I am not a crazy lady.

Talking to a psychologist might help ease some of your irrational fears - how awful to live in that kind of fear every day!

I cannot stand band-aids! Medical tape is fine, cotton & real bandages are ok, it's just band aids. I refuse to wear them (always have), it bugs me when other people wear them, and its the worst to see them laying around on the ground or stuck to anything!!!!

FYI: Crazy Glue works way better than any band-aid!

So you use Crazy Glue on your cuts and scratches? Do you think it's the same thing as Liquid Band Aids? I miss that stuff!
