the main city close to where I live is trying to build a new interstate bridge to replace the currant one. the estimated budget of 3.5 billion is a little high, we all know they will be over budget in the end. They are short 2 billion dollars for the project. now here comes the WTF parts of this project.
This bridge has the same number of car lanes as the currant bridge, which has nothing wrong with it. It is in perfect working order. The new bridge would be too low, that all the currant boats that use the river would have to redesign their cruse ships. The voters in the state across the river, voted the new bridge down. They did not want a new bridge just to bring light rail across the river. I cant blame them. Light rail is too expensive and does not work as well as the buss system.
With all these things telling the local government how much we dont want to spend the money, and how much money they have to steal to pay for it, they are still pushing it forward.
If I lied and cheated at my job like these people, I would have been fired long ago.
