Why are we talking about this more than 10 years after the fact?

Sexual peccadilloes are not the issue. Perjury is the reason he was disbarred.

The act itself was mostly tabloid fodder but I think it's a shame he couldn't keep his pants zipped. He was married and he cheated and to me that was the problem.

LOL it's not my business who he wants to have sex with..but it was made into everyone's business. Why let something so petty affect how I feel? What would I do worry about it,get upset, maybe feel Like I'm being nosy? Those emotions don't feel good. I'd rather go about feeling happy and free.

As for the "lying to Congress" they asked him questions that had NOTHING to do with his Presidency. Congress had no right and no reason to ask him the questions they did. Who cares? No one died when Clinton lied.

It was a freaking blow job. Big deal. While I don't condone "cheating" on one's wife, if one is not in an open relationship, the act had NOTHING to do with his ability to lead.

Just the Right Wing getting pissed off at his success and trying to find something, anything against one of the best administrators this country has ever had.

I didn't care at the time or now. Although as a representative of the country, it's a shame it happened.

I was in 3rd or 4th grade when it happened so it was pretty much a non-event in my life at the time.

Looking back at it though, it was blown way out of proportion.

Why is lying in quotes? Clinton has since admitted that what he said was not true.

It's OK for Clinton to perjure himself in front of the nation? He could have admitted he had gotten a BJ in the Oval Office or refused to answer by taking the 5th - protecting him from self incrimination. It's obvious that he doesn't have the cajones to admit to his infidelities. He chose to answer the questions with a pack if lies.

It's interesting what we're willing to overlook. Clinton bombed the aspirin factory in the Sudan - did anyone object? Double standard it seems to me.

As for Clinton "being at work." He's at "work" all the time. He lived there.

Yeah, it's something I'm willing to overlook. It wasn't a big deal, it had NO impact on the Nation, and honestly, I don't care one way or the other.

He never should have been put in front of Congress to be questioned. Let's put Bush in front of Congress and ask him "About WMD; What did you really know and WHEN did you know it?" Let's see who lies (and this matters, to the tune of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars) then. Let's talk about WAR CRIMES and torturing people. Really? A blow job can be measured against the deaths of thousands and the destruction of OUR economy due to these illegal wars? Please.

Did the blow job compromise our country in any way? If not for wing nut fascist Ken Starr, would it have COST the country a single dollar or a single life? IF LIFE is so goddamned important, why don't the wasted lives of those sent to fight an illegal war count as a crime?

A blow job? Is that REALLY our business? Was it Congress's business? No. Not at all. He never should have been asked. The Right Wing were after him, and he spooked. SO? It's nobody's fucking business if he got a blow job or not. Certainly NOT something Congress had any right to ask him about. It was about destroying him and the middle class. The fuckers just waited until Bush got into office to destroy the middle class, so they WON anyway.

The CONTENT of a lie is important. I don't give a fuck about somebody getting a blow job. I DO care when men and women DIE to help somebody's daddy and his buddies get richer and richer and richer and richer on OIL!!!! And perpetuate hatred towards BROWN people and those with a different religion as part of the deal.

What Clinton did, and fibbed about (as he never should have been ASKED) was ill advised and sybaritic. What Bush did and outright fucking LIED about was treason and murder. NO COMPARISON.

The so called "aspirin factory" was making VX gas. It's a small issue. Did it cost trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of national's lives and thousands of American soldier's lives? Hardly. It's something Rush Limbaugh and his ilk dug up to "counter act" the War Crimes of Bush.

Not something really even worth discussing. Shit like this happens every day. WAR does not.

Are we in a full scale, 9 year war, with thousands of deaths and religious persecution and torture with Sudan? If so, I'm not aware of it.

Please forgive me if I don't follow tiny crumbs on the ground in an attempt to ruin a good man, whose worst fault is horniness. (Clinton.) One cannot compare a supposed "attack" on a most likely NOT "aspirin factory" to TWO full scale wars against the people of Islam and their oil and their poppies.

IF we really were worried about what happened after 9/11, and NOT after oil, we would have declared war against Saudi Arabia. But, the Bushes are in bed with the Saudi's and are making MONEY off their oil, so that would never happen, despite the fact that MOST of the terrorists on 9/11 were of Saudi Nationality.

And none of this has anything to do with a blow job and the fact that Congress had NO business questioning what happened that evening. Presidents have mistresses, I don't necessarily condone it, but it's more the norm than not. Probably Nixon (EW) and maybe GWB are two of the very few who didn't. Powerful men have powerful sex drives and they attract women. Not saying its "right" but, it IS how things are. NO president, from Washington (who had mistresses) to Jefferson (with a bunch of kids to boot) through just about every president (save probably Lincoln and Taft) through Kennedy, the Roosevelts et al. Blow jobs aren't a big deal. WARS, especially wars started because of LIES are.

I'm in a foul mood anyway and I'm DONE discussing something that should be obvious to anyone who doesn't have an agenda.

Part of the plan to enslave the middle class was pushed forward with this "outrage" about a blow job. Please. It's ridiculous to compare a blow job to War.
