How do you think the hurricane on the east coast will affect the election?
Do you think people affected by the storm will be less likely or unable to vote? Or, if you were affected by the storm, will it affect your ability to vote or make you less likely to do so?
Do you think either candidate may lose votes due to people not voting because of the crisis?

most of the states hit worst are solid obama, although this does increase possibility of an electoral college popular vote split. since several tracking polls which have been favorable to romney aren't polling, it could create artificial momentum for obama. It might have a bigger impact in the senate races, especially in mass, ct and va, which could all help republicans.

I think it will affect it, yes. I am not sure to the extent, but people are busy with so many other things right now! Houses flooded, emergency crews in NYC from all over the country busy with people, etc!

It'll affect things, but only time will tell how much. Hopefully by November 6th, most of the people who were affected will be safe and with power and everything restored

It's projected that less democrats will go out to vote.
