Nope. Don't think that would be a good idea.

Why not? I think it should absolutely be legal.

If you look at it from the perspective of Nevada, or better yet New Zealand, prostitution helps society more often than it hinders. It provides an available sexual outlet and industry for those who would otherwise be acting shady about it. It also opens up the industry to mandatory testing laws that protect those who serve and those who wish to be serviced.

If someone is going to sell sexual favors, they'll find a way to do so. Finding the backpage ads for sex services isn't really a safe option in places where sexual services are outlawed and the other alternatives aren't so promising either.

I think it shoudl be legal but they would also have to take into account all the women/men/boys/girls who are forced into it against their will. Because this is a big issue with the modern day human trafficking, especially grabbing of people in foreign countries and from impoverished areas.

I had to listen to a big long speech about Modern Day Slave Trade when I was at a conference in DC o_o it was eye-opening and a bit horrifying but it would be potentially easier to manage and try to control should prostitution be legalized and limitations set etc etc

we actually just discussed this in my sociology class. I don't really like prostitution, but regulation would help cut down on human trafficking and ensure the rights for sex workers. and really, we could use all the help we can get with getting out of debt as a nation, and the extra tax on it wouldn't hurt us in that sense, either.
