That's too funny, but apparently it's true. FunnyorDie has been on site, providing exclusive behind-the-scenes clips of the upcoming Anchorman parody. This is a very fitting pair-up. Do you think that these crossover movies are paving the way for porn to gain more mainstream acceptance?

While I'm not a big fan of parodies in the first place, I just don't think a crossover would ever help porn gain a more mainstream acceptance.

I wasn't a huge fan of Anchorman. I don't like Will Farrel. I know. I'm mutant.

I didn't see the original movie. Will Farrell gives me the creeps.
Porn was starting to cross over in the 1970s, when movies like The Story of O, The Devil in Miss Jones and others started appealing to women. As women are often under represented in porn watching, it makes sense that appealing to women is one of the things that would work. However, what appeals to "most" women, love scenes, character development etc isn't what I, personally like in my porn. I also don't care for parodies, as there is too much talking.
I don't know if this movie would help porn go mainstream. Have other parodies helped? I really don't know.
