A little more discussion would have been awesome. I knew I wasn't supposed to till I got married, but I didn't know why they felt that way. Or that it would be OK after marriage, so I had lots of guilt issues!

i never had a sex talk or anything. i actually started to date my husbnd when i was 17 and they let him move in with us and he was allowed to sleep with me in my bed, but i knew better. We didnt get preg with our firt child till after high school. i guess they knew i knew what it was and tht i was a good kid and knew better to do somethung stupid. i had a lot of trust and i loved it, i just hope i can trust my kids like my parents did me

ha! I grew up in a staunchly religious household so I was told to wait till I was married. uhh.... luckily I was an avid reader so I learned the dos and don'ts of sex without too much of a problem.
When my mom found out I was having sex, she was livid. I had stained myself for my future partner (her words, not mine). so yeah, I keep my sex life under wraps now.

My mom was great. She cooked breakfast for my gf and I on the weekends when she'd sleep over and didn't mind one bit.

Well, when I was living with my father and I had my boyfriend over, if we were in my room, I'd have to keep the door open. So I voted "generally discouraged it" lol.... He never really talked with me about it, but I could tell he didn't want me to end up having sex.

They were super open and pretty much totally okay with me being sexually active. My mom always offered to buy me condoms if I needed them, and let my high school boyfriend sleep over whenever we wanted as long as it wasn't a school night.

My parents were both incredibly open and informative about sex and sexuality. My mom moreso than my dad, but that likely has more to do with gender connections than anything. She told me about proper masturbation, gave me advice in my first sexual relationship, recommended toys to me, and helped me purchase toys and condoms. I couldn't have asked for a more open household, and I want to do the same for my future children.

There was no talk at all in my household-everything I knew as a teen, I picked up from the internet. I wasn't interested in relationships until after I graduated from high school, which was plenty of time to learn about things on my own.

My parents had a ton of sexual dysfunction - so neither were comfortable discussing it. My Dad new I was having sex in the car - but never said a word about it.

I selected "other." My first sexual relationship was with a friend of the same sex as me, so my parents didn't really have a clue and even let her sleep in my bed because they assumed she was just a friend. By the time I got into my first straight sexual relationship, I was old enough that they no longer worried about me being irresponsible (though they did pay for my birth control pills).

Being Catholic, my dad and step-mother strongly suggested waiting until marriage. When I lost it at 18, my mother and I developed a close relationship, and I felt I could talk to her about the subject anytime.
