How far can you go before you're no longer considered a virgin? Does oral sex, fingering or using toys for men and women constitute the loss of their virginity or is it only the act of intercourse? Everyone has different opinions so feel free to express yours and the reasoning behind it.

Well I am a total virgin but I think that once it (a man's penis) goes inside then you are no longer a virgin. So it would be the act of intercourse.

I tend to take the word in its broadest sense, personally. I feel once you are sexual with another person, you are no longer a virgin. For example, if you suck 50 cocks and have anal sex with 50 people, I don't personally see how you can be considered a virgin. I know that's kind of an extreme example, but I personally don't think virginity is solely linked to PIV intercourse. But, your mileage may vary and all that.

Apparent as of late, words like "virgin", "male/female", and "gender" have whatever meaning a person chooses to apply to it for their purposes.

Traditionally, it is penis in vagina sex and that is the defintion I prefer.

I'd consider any sex to constitute no longer being a virgin which means any oral, anal, or vaginal sex = not a virgin.
However, I also consider each to have it's own 'cherry' as it would, regular cherry of course being vaginal, black cherry (ewww LOL) being anal...Can't really think of what they'd call oral though alot of people don't consider getting oral losing your 'virginity' these days it seems.

The definition of virgin is one that I leave to the individual to define for what works best for them.

The religious answer would be someone who has not known another. Yes, by known, that covers oral, anal and regular. In the days we live now, people would consider it anything they choose to mean.

I have never had a real penis in me before so I consider myself a virgin. The first time I recieved oral sex was not my choice. I said no and he pretended to not understand. It lasted maybe a minute and I cried afterwards. I don't count that as being when I lost my virginity. I think it's an individual thing, but I will say that when people have consensual oral, manual or anal sex, it counts as something. It's a little annoying when a girl says she's had oral and anal with her boyfriends, but is still a "innocent little virgin". I think the word virgin is pointless anyway. I'd like to think I lost my virginity to myself when I started masturbating. That's when I became sexual. So I can't really answer the question. It's subjective.

i think that your a virgin until you have actual intercourse. a guy friend of mine once told me that he thought you were still a virgin until you actually came inside a girl. another gal pal of mine thinks that just having an orgasm that someone else gives you means you're no longer a virgin... even if the guy just rubs your clit.

I think it just means intercourse. Like penis in vagina. Not even orgasming. I never understood the orgasming idea for guys because usually when a guy and a girl lose it together the guy finishes first. If people thought they lost it when one finished, then a lot of girls would still be virgins, if that made sense.

I would say penis in vagina if you want to be technical. Then again, I still consider my loss of virginity to a woman. Go figure.
