Would you date someone who didn't drive?

What if they lived somewhat far from you?

I hope people would. I can't drive!

I was never taught and I doubt I ever will be soon (even though I'm 22). Even if I knew how, I don't have the money for a car, insurance, and gas. And considering I don't have a job (and if I wanted one, there's one that I can get a ride for), I don't really have much of a need for a car. Besides, they kind of scare me.

I don't think I would if they lived far from me, because I think it would be unfair for me to be doing all of the driving and everything. I think I would be more understanding if they had epilepsy or a medical reason why they couldn't drive, but I know I would get frustrated if I had to drive them around all of the time.

If I lived in a city where it was more convenient to not have a car I'd probably be more open to it, but where I live it is terribly inconvenient to not be able to drive and there isn't a whole lot of public transportation.

I don't drive, and dated a guy who went around on a bike pretty much everywhere. He always insisted on coming to my place instead of me going to his, which made me feel kind of bad because he lived partway across the city.

No one I've ever dated has had a car, and I've never dated someone who lived close to me. I guess I'm just unlucky that way. I'm ok with travelling to see my loved ones though, even though I don't drive either.

Definitely, though we'd have to work something out if it'd be a major problem if we lived together (getting her to work would mean a 2 hour commute, etc.) That said, my current girlfriend can drive, but doesn't often (lack of car and desire), but since I love to drive my car, it works out.
