Do you say I love you every day?

Contributor: wrecklesswords wrecklesswords
Every couple is different, but I figured it was pretty universal that every couple said "I love you" to each other every day or a few times a day.

Do you? Or do you only say it every now and then? Or do you feel the need to say it at all? Is it just one of those unspoken things?

We say it several times a week, but not every single day. I'm not someone who says I love you everytime I leave or end a phone call. I like to save it for private moments. Sometimes I will randonly send him a text that says I love you to brighten up his day, but I prefer to say it in person.

I honestly can't say if we do. There is a huge level of confidence in the relationship - so if doesn't happen no one is upset. But if I had to guess it happens 98% or more of the time.

As for us, we don't say it every day. We really haven't said it to each other in a few weeks. Not because we don't feel it. It's more of a personal choice. It bothered me at first before we talked about it. But I can see it in the way she looks at me and touches me and kisses me. I've never... had this level confidence, as you say, in a relationship. It's refreshing, but new to me....

Okay, I gotta stop before I start gushing. The girl in me is kicking in.

I chose that we say it every day, because we say it at LEAST once to one another every day, typically many times. I also chose that it can be unspoken, because we don't just have to say it or hear it we also feel it

We say it quite often, but we show it more. It's important to us to show it before we say it, because words are ultimately meaningless without action.

This is very true. My girlfriend has said something very, very similar.

Everyday definitely, usually more than once. But I agree that the showing it part is more important than just saying it all the time.

Every day, multiple times per day. I also love getting texts from hubby that simply say "I love you".

Every day, multiple times a day. It's almost become kind of our hello, in a way. It's pretty awesome and of course we show each other in physical ways, but sometimes it's especially excellent to hear the words.

He leaves before me in the morning about 90% of the time, and I always get a kiss and a boob squeeze before he goes. I get really upset if he forgets, because I automatically assume he is upset with me. If I leave before him, he ends up waking up anyway, so I go and lay on his bag and nuzzle his neck.

In the beginning we said it all the time, but now we share it with a smile, touch or naughty 'goose'. We are more secure and need less reassurance and will show each other most of the time, we do say it either every day to every couple days, though.

I like that.

It honestly scared me when she got a little upset that I was saying it multiple times a day. She said it felt like I wasn't sure she loved me back and she does, and she didn't think it needed to be said so much because she's a big believer that the more you say something, the less it means. So, we save it for when it really means something. We kiss each other goodbye with a smile and that's how we know. I feel more secure now when I don't say it all the time than I did when I said it all the time. It's weird, but I like it.
