When LTRs Don't Work?

Contributor: pixxie87 pixxie87
After being on and off with someone for 6 years, I realized that we don't work out as a couple. There's always drama. But I know I'm always going to love him. Is that so bad of me?

No, it is better than stringing him on for longer. He may sense that something is off already if you are still together.

If it's not going to work out and you know that, then let him know. It's not bad that you're always going to love them because 6 years is a long time with someone so yes there's always going to be feelings tehre. That doesn't mean that you're compatible.

That's not entirely uncommon. I've known people who after a few years realized that they loved each other, but they weren't in love with each other. Sadly, it happens from time to time.

I think it's pretty common if they meant a lot to you and you were with them for a long time. Those feelings cant completely disappear, though they'll probably fade.

This happens to many people. The kindest thing to do is let go. You can't help your feelings and I wish you the best!!
