We wrote an article for Sexis this month about whether or not it's a good idea to Google the one who got away. Because before Facebook, MySpace, Google, et al, the “one who got away” (OWGA) was rarely more than a passing daydream — or a handy bit of masturbation material. But these days you can actually reach out and, er, touch your OWGA. So, is it a good idea or not? Can it destroy an awesome fantasy or help you move on from a memory that is distorted by your rose-tinted glasses? Is it harmless flirtation or can it damage your current, actual, real-life relationship? Check out some other pros and cons of Googling your OWGA here.

It definitely doesn't help. If I'm reading this correctly, you're talking about googling your ex or lost love?
It's like taking a walk in the past, becoming nostalgic etc. Which isn't good for the present relationship. I would know, I've been dating my new boyfriend for 5 months, and every time I google/facebook my ex (my first love) I become nostalgic and I miss him a lot, which isn't good because my current boyfriend is wonderful and better than my ex. But it gets a bit difficult to split the duality of emotions.
