How did you know he/she was your soul mate?

Contributor: EnChAnTiNg EnChAnTiNg
If you are one of the lucky ones who feels that they have found their soul mate, how did you know? Was there a specific even that made you realize it, or did you just know?

When I met my husband, I just knew. There was not one specific thing he did that made me realize it, I just sensed it.

I felt like I already knew him. It was not an event or any earthshaking thing like the books, just a complete feeling inside.

(Un?)Fortunately, I'm too jaded to believe in "soul mates".

I'm glad when people are happy together, but some people aren't always built for 1:1 relationships.

Yay for all the happy people though!

Since I turned 18 and went out on my own, I tended to dress more provocatively than before. When I met my man, I all of a sudden didn't want others to see my cleavage and such. It seems strange, but it's how I knew something was special about this one. In all my other relationships, I still wanted to flaunt myself because I loved the attention.

ALSO... My man is a bit smaller than what I've been with in the past as far as his 'package' is concerned. Combine that with sex that usually lasts only a few minutes and you'd think I wouldn't enjoy it. But we have the best sex I've ever had. Chalk one up to love! =)

I tend not to believe in soul mates. I believe that chances are there is someone out there in the whole world that is better for you than the person you end up with, but I do love my husband.

Well it's only been two years so I may be 'jumping the gun' but it feels so different with him than it ever has, I feel this sort of deep emotional and spiritual connection with him and he can make me smile on days when I feel like punching through a brick wall with just a single sentence. <3

And the funny thing is I couldn't tell you a single reason exactly why I feel so strongly for him, I was even so bold as to make my intentions known pretty much straight away even though I'm usually too shy to even introduce myself. (still have no clue what possessed me to do that but I'm glad I did)

Ours is a peculiar story, but we don't even need to say complete sentences to each other. We always know what the other is thinking without having to say anything. The only misunderstandings we have had were due to mishearing something.

I'm living the happiest days of my life with him. I've sacrificed a lot to be here with him and I don't regret any of it. It's been two years almost, and every day I feel like I see him for the first time. Every morning, afternoon, evening, and night is a gift.

Maybe there are no such things as soul mates, but I feel like I've found the right person for me.

I'm not sure if I'd say soulmate, but I've definitely found a girl who I love deeply. We balance eachother out, and it's a feeling of trust and comfort. It definitely developed over time.

It's going to sound corny, but everything just fell into place. We want all of the same things in life. What things we both don't want, we happily compromise. When I met her, I felt like I had known her for years.... we never feel uncomfortable together, our bodies just mesh when we cuddle, and I can talk to her without actually saying anything.

I know it is so because I don't know what I'd do without them in my life.
