I was sleeping with someone else when I first met my current bf, but I didn't start dating him til 5 months after we met. So by the time I started sleeping with my bf I hadn't been with my previous partner for a couple of months.

I was sleeping with my best friend and we were pretending that we were going to stop because of feelings and such, I started dating my current girlfriend and once I decided I wanted to really date her, that was that. I stopped sleeping with my friend the moment I started talking to her. My friend still tried to sleep with me everytime he saw me but I just stopped hanging out until he understood that he missed out and I have found someone that I dont want to cheat on. (If my girlfriend was so special, I would have continued sleeping with him, as I am not the type to commit to one person)

I was dating but not engaged. We both gracefully ended the prior relationships before getting serious - i.e. sexually involved.
