How was your wedding?

Tell me about your wedding/commitment ceremony.

Me and the boyfriend are planning on having a commitment ceremony. For legal (we aren't related) and medical reason I can't get married legally. I'm actually having it for my own religious reasons. I'm trying to keep it cheap, but yet beautiful. I don't have ANY ideas.

So, I'd like to hear about yours?
When planning something like this what do I all need to get and do? I'm hoping I can keep it all between 2,000-3,000$ I'm only having about 20-25 people there.

My first wedding was asian themed as that is one thing the ex and I both loved, the ceremony itself was on the water, I was in a sexy little slinky kimono-styled dress, complete with asian-themed food. My next wedding (with my current) is going to be "dark" (like, Hot Topic clothing style) with black and purple as the color theme It's going to be a backyard wedding. The first wedding was about $3,000 not including the cake and the second won't be very expensive at all probably less than $1000

I got married May 7th and actually spent about $1700 total for the entire wedding. I rented out a church camp building for the reception and had my wedding outside, using nature as my decorations. I was a DiY girl and did most everything myself. I went to Davids Bridal and got fitted for my dress and then bought on online through their store for much less than what I would've paid in store. If you need any tips, feel free to message me, maybe there is something I can help you with

I did not want to get married, but I had to (for reasons I'll not go into). We went to the court house, thinking it would be "simple and quick" with no frills and minimal vows. It turned out that they wanted us to do the traditional vows under a giant fake gazebo in the back of the courthouse. I basically told the judge I couldn't take half the vows seriously and could he please hurry up. He nearly kicked us out, but we got our document signed eventually. ;3

We eloped. If I did it again, I'd do it in the same way.

we just filled out some paperwork. No expensive wedding. Then we had a honeymoon in tokyo. Weddings are nice, but way too expensive. I have been to some that have cost easily over 20,ooo. I cant see spending that kind of money on a party. I would rather use that money on a down payment for a home.

I would have the party at your house, or a park. Save the money, by not renting a place to have it. The best weddings have been at parks and peoples houses. more personal.

Got married 4-29-10 Ours cost $65 for wedding, $20 for pictures, $40 for license, 17 for my dress, $20 for his shirt and tie, $20 for gas, $35 for my ring, $14 for his ring, and $6 for my shoes. TOTAL:$237 give or take.

We had to go cheap we had a one year old son, plus he was unemployed. We wanted to do more than stand in front of the judge and sign pictures we had an actual wedding in a small chapel(eloping), with pictures and everything. I will private message you a link show you my picture and where I went. Really look into some of them bed and breakfast places they are in that price range you go there. We only had our son and my sister at the wedding. That is all that wanted to come. Everyone was trying to get us to wait, we felt that 4.5 years was long enough. congrats on the wedding!

My ring I got this much cheaper at other website.

husband ring I got this one at amazon for cheap.
