Interesting question here....

Contributor: Beck Beck
Alright I just go off the phone with my husband. He just told me that one of the guys he works with came home early and when he walked in the kitchen. He found his wife with the dog. She was spread eagle while the dog was performing oral sex. The guy ended the relationship.
My question is, would that be enough for you to end your relationship? I am not asking to comment on their relationship, I am wondering if this was yours what would you do?

First off, eww!

I am not sure to be honest, I guess I would ask what the dog does that I cannot and go from there. Maybe she just wanted a bigger tongue than mine.

HAHA! I love that answer! I am not sure either that is a crazy situation.

OMG ewwwwww! First off, I would probably puke.

As I sat here pondering how best to vote, I found myself wondering if that would be considered cheating... or not. At any rate, that does not fall within what I consider to be acceptable behavior.

Okay EW. I personally would end it because I think doing anything with animals is wrong and I would just be too disturbed to stay with the person.

Uhh, oh man. I think I'd have to end it if I was that guy. I'd never be able to look at my wife OR the dog the same again! What a horrible image to have haunting a marriage.

Exactly, that's what I was thinking. I'd never be able to look at either of them the same again. That poor dog! Is that kind of thing even legal?

Yes it is wrong to do. I would be disturbed to. I think I would have to take the dog and run!

Depends on the state, some it is and some it is not. Some states have no law on it. However this happened in Ohio and yes it is illegal.

Zoophilia and the laws there are only 32 states in the US where it is illegal.

I am wrong Ohio is not one of them, but it does fall under animal cruelty.

I would have my partner get into seriously heavy counseling.

Bestiality is NOT consensual!!!! The animal does not have the ability to consent to a human and IMO, it is.... wrong. I think it is harmful to the animal, despite the fact that the animal may go along with it (they do a lot of things just to please their masters and mistresses) but it is abuse of the animal, as far as I am concerned.

Ugghh and ewww. On that note, a story. I know a guy that greets his friend's dog by jerking it off. He says the dog deserves to get his as well. When I found this out, I never looked at him the same again. Would likely be the case here again. Might not be grounds for divorce, but I probably couldn't look them in the eye for a loooong time. Gross.

Eww make you think twice about shaking his hand. I think I would smack someone who did this to my dog.

This is what I would think also. I am not sure about ending it, however it would be a hard choice to make. Counseling would be the first step no matter what we were going to do.

Counseling would for sure be in order, and from there I would decide if we could continue the relationship

WOW, I would end the relationship right there and then need counseling to deal with shock of what I just saw.

Whether or not it is technically "legal" in any state (and I'm sure that it would be possible to prosecute this either under bestiality statutes or animal cruelty statutes), it's disgusting.

Chances are I would probably end the relationship right then and there, but could maybe try the counseling route. Even so, I think this would be pretty hard to get over.

That is totally sick! Our dog is like our third child, that kind of disgusting situation will never happen in our home!!!

I think serious psychological counseling is the way to go, instead of immediately ending a relationship.

Not that I really want to be the nay sayer here. But that is a major component in more than a few jokes that I've heard over the years.

I agree with what P'Gell said, about this not being consensual!

On top of that, I'm one of those "crazy animal activist" folk, and I am not okay with things like that at all.

I would've flipped shit, to be perfectly honest. I mean, I probably would've been raging on them for hours on end while demanding they pack their stuff and be out of the house that day, unless it was their house, in which case I would've packed my own and been out of there. Were we married, I'd let them know the court will decide what to do with splitting anything that is considered joint property and such, and make this as public as I could legally.

I'd be disgusted, offended, and feel dirty for ever having been with them. I also would make sure that the dog came with me, or stayed with me!

GROSS!

I would be so disgusted, I couldn't see myself staying with the person anymore. I concur with P'Gell that bestiality is animal abuse. Anyone who would exploit and abuse an animal in such a manner is not someone I would want to continue to be involved with. I would encourage that person to get some help, however.

That is so out there I can't understand.
Animals can't consent to that sort of thing and I don't think they understand either. D:

I like Tim's answer too!

That is so wrong, I can not describe the offense I feel! The poor animal for just obeying its master. The poor husband for walking in on that scene. That woman has some serious problems that need to be dealt with. I would file for divorce and taken the dog. That goes way beyond just being horny and masturbating - that is one very sick demented person with issues!
