Why do people always seem to put down long-term relationships or think it's nothing serious? It's so frustrating!! I dunno, I just needed to say that, I guess...

I'm sorry people aren't taking your relationship seriously (I am assuming that is what is going on based on the post, anyway). I've had this happen a couple of times, but not often, luckily. Just ignore any rude comments, because they have no say in your relationship(s). they aren't in it, so their opinions should be reserved for when asked.

Because some people do no consider anything out of marriage to be a serious committed relationship. I have dealt with this before and it does suck--but what was more important was that my partner and I were together, loved each other and the outside world's thoughts just wasn't that important.
