Female Perspectives and Advice

Contributor: shyguymike shyguymike
Ive been lurking a for a while and decided to finally join. Im a straight guy who works in a mostly female corporate workplace.

More and more, I've been noticing the details of what the women I work with are wearing, like the skirtsuits, nylons, heels etc. It totally fascinates me. And to be perfectly honest, Im very curious to try it out for myself (at home in private of course). Eventually, I would like to explore it all, perhaps building up to even trying bridal attire.

So I guess I'm curious to know what thoughts the women here have on this idea and any tips or suggestions for moving forward with it. I really appreciate it!

that sounds so fabulous and exciting! Hm, I guess I'll recommend you some clothing brands. Now, it does depend on how much you are willing to drop. I'll try to give affordable alternatives as well.

For the professional attire, I would look at Anne Klein suits or perhaps some Armani women's suits (yes, expensive, but very nice). A good pair of stockings can be purchased almost anywhere, including here on Eden. Shoes can be found anywhere! I like Steve Maddens myself, and you can find them on Burlington Coat Factory for cheap, too. For heels, start off small and work your way up to higher and higher. Don't get intimidated! Other shoe brands I like are Jeffrey Campbell and Betsey Johnson. They are kind of more expensive, but they are worth saving your pennies

As for wedding attire (I'm saving the best for last) try to look for Vera Wang dresses. She is the leading designer of wedding dresses, and they are absolutely gorgeous. They are expensive, but David's Bridal has lots of good sales where you can get them more affordable. If you don't like the prices still, again, David's will have lots of options to fit almost any budget. They also include wedding accessories, including gloves and heels.

Hope this helps and good luck! P.s you can always message me if you have questions.

You're limiting yourself by asking for "female perspectives". Wearing skirtsuits and nylons and heels isn't an innate part of the female experience and isn't something my female perspective can speak to. I'm sure you could benefit from advice from non-females who dress in skirts and heels just as much if not more!

lace top stockings and garter belts are a must for sexy work attire. true, no one sees them under a nice pencil skirt, but you know they're there and they make you feel like the epitome of sexy. have fun!

I'd try to find knit fabrics- something with stretch. That will fit and compliment a male form much better.

You can 'try out' a lot of the looks by going to a thrift store to pick out things and trying them on in a dressing room. I used to work at a Goodwill and I had one cross-dressing regular who came in every week to figure out his style. He had to buy his own hosiery, though; but other than that, it's a good spring board that won't break the bank. Just make sure it's a liberal store ... most all of the religion-run thrift stores will freak out if they make the connection of a guy with women's clothes. *eyeroll*

Good luck in your quest.

Great idea! I think it's fun to do drag and I do it every year in the drag show, I go as a different guy every time lol.
Do it and have fun with it, you don't have to be a perfect gal but be whoever you want to be. I find myself acting differently in men's clothing and it's super liberating
remember... you go gal ; )

I highly recommend it! It's fun by yourself, and many of my male partners (I'm a girl) loved it! Sometimes it's fun to do something like wear women's panties or nylons under your clothes while you go out or go to work, while no one knows your sexy little secret.

Or you can go to any store and bring along your girlfriend or a female friend. I've done this before with some of my male friends who like to do drag. No one bats an eye, because they think it's for me.

Belting a dress can also help create a more defined waist. Flared skirts, as well.
