I had a sex dream about my friend out of no where...

Ok I am a little bit flustered by this. I am married and we have a some friends who are also married. I have NEVER been remotely sexually attracted to the male friend. He is super nice, he is a great guy and a great friend. BUT he is totally not my type at all and so I've never thought he was sexy or anything like that. The other night I had a very vivid and pretty hot sex dream about this guy. I can't remember the last time I had a sex dream, and this came out of no where. I cannot look at my friend without thinking about this damn dream.

We see each other constantly. He is literally my best friend aside from my husband. In fact, we are even in the same CrossFit class at the gym. Tonight was brutal watching him workout and thinking about that damn dream while he was telling me about his plans for a new tattoo.

This is so awkward and uncomfortable. I have never in my life had a sex dream about a good friend. Will this strange feeling ever go away?! I can't see him without hearing him call me dirty names now.

It happens and it will go away in time. You will be ok, it happens to the best of us with the least person we would expect to think about.

Happens to me all the time... except it has never gone away. :/

It has happened to me a few times. I just ignore it and it goes away and I dream of someone new.

At least it was with someone you like. It could have been worse...

True. It could have been someone I can't stand. But i still feel so awkward around him. Like I have a secret about us or something. *shudder*

Could have been a relative. I've had dreams like that and they're annoying.

But I don't let dreams bother me in the long run. If I did, I'd be hopping off of rooftops trying to fly or looking around for candy-colored owls to talk to. Just relax and try to forget about it, and the awkwardness will probably go away.

Also, consider: if this is someone you see a lot, then dreaming about him is only natural - familiar things and people tend to slip into dreams more easily. You just happened to have a sexual dream at a time when he appeared, that's all.

Can't sweat dreams, we all have them, and they rarely make sense. Reconnect on a friendly level.

I just can't remember the last time I had a dream about someone I knew. I also don't ever dream about things that can't happen in real life.

If it goes a couple of days without lessening, (and TOTALLY depending on the nature of your friendship!) I might actually say "gosh, I feel so bizarre, I had a dream about you out of nowhere and now I feel all awkward around you" so you can , what do they call that on tvtropes, lampshading? Acknowledge that you're feeling weird and then it'll go away. And he won't be puzzled/clueless about why you're blushing around him lately.

Day before yesterday he gave me a full frontal hug and it was.....strange. haha I think HE would start feeling really awkward if I told him that I had a dream about him though, so I think I might need to keep that to myself. It's been over a week and it's just now starting to lessen. We'll see how things go tonight at CrossFit. haha
