Sugar-shacking: sexy, or just dessert?

Sweet, sticky things, like chocolate syrup, whipped cream, strawberries, etc., are often touted as "sexy."

I've tried incorporating these sugary things in the bedroom numerous times, and have always come to the same conclusion: the sweet stuff is better left as sundae toppings. I just end up sticky and frustrated and concerned that the chocolate is going to ruin my sheets.

What's your take on sex and sweets? Are there specific ways you like to use them/specific things you particularly enjoy? Or are you, like me, totally confused as to why people seem to enjoy this?

We've tried the food thing a couple of times but I absolutely hate being sticky. Maybe a little strawberry or hershey kiss here or there now, but it's straight to the shower afterward. I think my husband just loves making me cringe, too.
