Don't take anything each other does for granted is a good start.
Appreciate everything he/she does.
Never complain. Say negative things in a positive, nice way.
Give compliments.
Without these common things, nothing spicy will help.
Now if the relationship is genuinely good, some things def can be done to spice it up !

Rent an erotic film and watch it together, if you are both ok with it.
Get some massage oil and give each other a nice rub down. Stay away from the "naughty bits" until later.
Go for a nice walk on a secluded beach and let the warm sun and rolling surf calm you. There is just something primal and erotic about the sound the surf makes.
Take your sweetie shopping in an antique mall or something like that, and duck into the dark corners and get a quick smooch and maybe a little outside of the clothes fondle. ( We do this all the time and usually by the time we get done shopping we are ready to rip each other's clothes off and get down to business)
Make love in a room you normally don't, like the living room floor, or kitchen.
There are many other things to try, be creative. It doesn't have to be a big deal, just change out you routine.
