I prefer to have sex with someone I'm intimate with, whether we're in a relationship or not. A friends with benefits situation, or something similar is preferred for me.

I guess if I don't want to carry on a conversation with them, I probably don't want to have sex with them.

I've had both, and I actually find the sex more enjoyable when there is a sense of stability, caring, and acceptance.
