Always have to provide a reason for free reviews?

Contributor: ArcaneBlast ArcaneBlast
I use to never have to give a reason of why my review would be better so long as it wasn't lingerie or over my price range, but recently everything makes me give a reason.

I'm not even sure what constitutes as a good reason.

I don't exactly get what you're saying. I sometimes say in my reviews that every opinion is worth hearing or reading even if there are a hundred reviews on it. Is that what you mean?

Sometimes when you request a free assignment, a box pops up asking you to give a reason for requesting the item. I've only had it happen once. I'm not sure why some items require a reason and some don't...

You don't always have to provide a reason for why you want a free toy to review. But I admit, it's confusing. Especially since it's inconsistent.

That justification is for when you request an item that already has 3 free reviews. You are trying to justify why EF should allow you to do a free review above the 3 typically allowed for any product.

I recently had to give a reason when requesting an assignment that only had one review, and then I was actually declined for it. When I contacted Stormy, she told me that the manufacturer of the item that I requested was only allotted one review, a DR. I looked into it and found that there were tons of other items by that manufacturer with three reviews on them, but she's been super busy, so I haven't heard back from her yet as to when it changed and if there are other brands that have changed to be this way as well.

This happens when the product is already out for review or has more than three reviews on it. I just requested items and did not have to give a reason. It is not required for all products.

I've had to do that for every product I got for free, except the ones that were assigned to me by admin.

I have gotten it on a toy that only had one review, which wasn't a great one. I can see if there are 3 reviews on it already, but when there isn't it is a little bit strange.

I guess a lot of people had pending reviews. Shame. I wish there was a time limit on how long you have to review free assignments and a penalty for being late without an excuse.
