Eden Tasks

Contributor: Kate Kate
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but unless I overlooked it, I didn't see a section for questions about tasks so thought I'd post here. Is it normal to wait awhile before being approved or declined for the Eden tasks program? I submitted my request in September and it's still pending so thought I would ask.

Yes, it's quite normal. If your application wasn't declined right away, it means you are on the list for a future rotation of editors. Here is the forum thread about the latest changes in the program. Oh, and I guess you also can send Sammi a message and ask her about it.

Valentinka's right on the money here. Go ahead and message Sammi if you have more questions, but it is normal to wait a while. Think of it as being on a waiting list.

I just found this!! I wish I was able to find it before I submitted a ticket. I thought maybe there was some kind of glitch and my request got lost. I was especially confused since it said "It may take up to 72 hours..." and it has been a week. Clearly people have been waiting much longer than that! lol

This is a super old post, but as I see people are still commenting on it...

My own experience is that you're not approved or denied as being an editor (which is what the task market is for) until a rotation comes about. This means that your application may sit for a few months without an answer, depending on when you apply.

I have had the same situation- I applied in August and haven't heard anything. And you can't resubmit your application. So frustrating!

That's because a new editing rotation hasn't happened yet. You will hear back about your application once a rotation happens.

Editing rotation changes a few times a year. I think it's every 3 or 4 months.

Good to know from this thread, I was about to submit a request myself and won't be worried if I don't here anything for awhile.

Bah, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Thanks for the info!
